Welcome to my blog

An introduction

My mum told me recently that no one reads blogs anymore. So, naturally, I thought this would be a perfect time to start one.

I’ve had this account for around 2 years. I made it because Amanda Palmer, one of my favourite humans, used it very briefly, and you needed an account to follow her.
I’ve been considering writing a blog pretty much as long as blogs have existed, but I never thought people would care what I have to say. Then I realised that I don’t care if people care what I have to say. All I have to do is write down what I feel and think. It’s that simple.

The reason I decided to start today is because I was talking to a very close friend of mine who I hadn’t spoken to in far too long, and she persuaded me to start writing.
I’ve been telling myself for ages to just write, (as advised by many, many authors) but alas, to no avail. That is, until my friend came along and lit the fire I needed under my ass.
This blog may eventually contain short stories and poems, as well as thoughts and feelings,but for now, just an introduction.

So here I am, but who am I? Well, I mean, that doesn’t really matter all that much. I am a human female, of the planet earth. My name is Emma. I have made 20 journey’s around the sun.
My hobbies include singing and playing ukulele, writing, photography and watching movies.

And now I have a blog.

So welcome, friend. Sit down, make yourself comfortable.
