COMMON PROBLEMS IN UBUNTU 16.04

Are you one of the persons who has just switched on to Linux from windows and suffering various issues in UBUNTU ? If yes, maybe this blog could be of some help to you as I have compiled some great solutions to these problems that actually worked out for me.

1. WIFI PROBLEMS

This is the most common problem that I have seen people suffering one, I was also facing this issue when I switched to ubuntu version 16.04. So what happens is that the wifi symbol shows a blank and no available networks are being displayed, probably something like this –

SOLUTION-

So this thing really worked out for me, maybe the network manager of your ubuntu is disabled or having some problems. Try restarting it by the following terminal commands –

sudo service network-manger restart
killall nm-applet && nm-applet &

2. SCREEN FLICKERING PROBLEM

I encountered this problem in the beginning when the screen started to flicker fast quiet a few times.

SOLUTION-

So you can try resolving this by typing in the commands –

All you need to do is to disable hardware acceleration of the current browser-

Go to settings — -Advanced Settings — -System — -untick hardware acceleration

This should definitely help
