In 2015, my wife and I shared a pair of earphones, listening to Neil Diamond’s “America” as our train slowed to a stop at the Canada–U.S. border.
We had just completed a transpacific crossing from Tokyo to Vancouver and were now waiting for the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to clear our train.
My wife had never been to the U.S. and I hadn’t returned in over 12 years, so I created an America-themed playlist (originally on Spotify) for our long adventure. Seattle was our first stop en route to our final destination — Atlanta.
In this post, I’m going to share the final version of that playlist — ideal for U.S. holidays like Memorial Day, Independence Day and Labor Day.
