Apple CEO Tim Cook was born in Robertsdale, Alabama, on November 1, 1960. He grew up in a small town with just over 2,000 people. His father, Donald, was a shipyard worker and his mother, Geraldine, worked at a local pharmacy.

Cook attended Robertsdale High School, where he played football and was a track team member. He graduated from high school in 1978 and enrolled at Auburn University. He originally planned to study engineering but later switched to industrial engineering. Cook graduated from Auburn in 1982 with a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering.

Before becoming CEO of Apple, Tim Cook served as the company’s Chief Operating Officer (COO).
