Inclinations

The concession of outer play inside the cavernous,
as if children had played in the illuminated sand,
sun’s down brings calm prayer to the surface,
a meditation that presence cannot deny,
reflecting on mother moon and her offspring,
shining brightly in the skies.

Whence the fortitude of citation became prominent,
average citizens flock to the streets for refreshment, seeds of water,
coastal inclinations divide the ‘self’ from the ‘I’ along beaches that stretch
miles at a time, roads paved, traversed.

Gregarious becomes the fort road to the populous of existence,
inclinations are thunder in the sea, offshore where they meet tsunamis,
the beasts inside the cave of salvation may attempt assimilating,
but it’s you that the seeker acknowledges, it’s you who will carry the torch,
it’s you that will be the gate keeper of the light,
throwing behind outdoor lamps so that the heart can lead the way.
